Hey Boomboxer, here we will break down everything you need to know about achievements in Boombox!
Within the game, there are 4 types of achievements which are each represented by different colours.
Basic: These are meant to encourage and reward the player to discover all of the aspects of the game and get familiar with boombox. Are intended to be achieved super easily by players of any skill level.
Progression: Achievements to reward the player over time without needing crazy levels of skill.
Challenge: Created to challenge the average player and be tougher to achieve.
Master: Challenging achievements intended for advanced players to suffer through.
Achievements will often reward you with different cosmetics such as drumsticks, hats, skins, and leaderboard frames. The higher the difficulty of the achievements, the more rare they will be amongst players.
Here are some examples of the what you can unlock:
*Fun fact: The thickness of the leaderboard frame is a representation of the rarity of it. For example, the thicker green frame was awarded to the top players of our summer tournament, and the thicker blue frame is a developer frame.
Once you've started unlocking achievements, you will be able to access your cosmetics from both the drum room and the main menu!
Customizing from the drum room will make it easier to customize Pupa as she will come and sit in front of you, and if she begins to wander away, you can bring her back by re clicking the cat icon at the top right.
As you unlock more achievements, the walls of your drum room will begin to clutter with the items!
There are lanyards hanging in place of the item that represent what type of item will be unlocked at that location.
Now get to work and show us what you got! :D
